About
South Union Gallery:
The
South Union Gallery is a co-op gallery run by the Lakewood
Arts Council. There are four gallery managers who take care
of necessary business needs; all gallery members may vote
on decisions regarding the running of the gallery. The Lakewood
Arts Council Board makes decisions on the use of the gallery.
A separate gallery is located upstairs and is used for the
Lakewood Arts Council's open shows, member shows and is available
for rental by other community arts organizations.
A community rental wall in the South Union Gallery is also
available for local artists to rent on a monthly basis. No
commission is charged.
Unique workshops and ongoing classes are held in the classroom
space. Go to Classes
& Workshops for information about current offerings.
The gallery houses the Lakewood Arts Council's office and
is the information resource for all Lakewood Arts Council
activities. We strive to support the mission of the Lakewood
Arts Council - to be supportive of the community artists,
allowing them several ways to exhibit or participate.
For more information on the South Union Gallery, come in or
call us at 303-980-0625.
